Houston Polo Club

The Houston Polo Club was established in 1928, and honors its regal sport with two polo fields and more than 26 acres of land speckled with four-legged athletes. Every Sunday, the championship Farish Field hosts gripping polo matches, from invitationals to open tournaments. Split into six chukkers of equine action, each match invites fans to storm the field during the third and fourth chukker for the traditional divot stomping, when onlookers repair divots created by pounding hooves and stampedes of high-heeled Spanish conquistadors. General admission offers a unicorn's eye view of match play, allowing fans to witness bumps, hooks, and the prematch trash talk exchanged among competitive thoroughbreds.
